To enable HTML5 markup for the search form, comment form, comment list, galley and caption in the Genesis Framework, add the following to your theme’s functions.php files:

```php
// Add HTML5 markup structure
add_theme_support( 'html5', array( 'search-form', 'comment-form', 'comment-list', 'gallery', 'caption' ) );

```
